Project Development Work

Like so many other organisations in the voluntary sector agency, NONE of our funding is guaranteed for longer than three years. This means that we are continually looking for new funding opportunities and therefore are able to take a very flexible and creative approach to our work.

We have to be able to convince time and time again, that we know our 'business' and are capable of delivering within short time scales. This ensures that we maintain a very constructive and creative work style and one that is suited to the young people that work with us. Our recent projects include:

Community Cohesion Project inDarnall, Tinsley, Handsworth and Brinsworth
" Consultations with young people looked after by Sheffield Local Authority
Participation, Voice and Influence - models and action
Mentoring and Buddying - Waltheof school
" GEMS Key Stone group
" Creative Movement for young people - aimed at all those lovable couch potatoes that we know!
" Supporting the Positive Activities for Young People agenda
" Work with young people in trouble with the law and in custody
" Youth Arts Projects currently in Firth Park, Burngreave & The Chinese Community

We are currently considering new work with young adults on release from custody; opportunities for young people in social action volunteering; youth arts training for workers in secure units for children; placements for local artists in secure units and in community cohesion work.
